Holliston Lions Winning o' the Green
Nearly two decades ago, the Holliston Lions Club began selling raffle tickets for a major fundraising event which is typically held in March. The $10,000 raffle helps provide slighly under half of the funds we raise on an annual basis. The event generally includes a catered dinner, silent auctions, a hope chest raffle and other prizes and raffles throughout the evening.
Ticket holders are entitled to bring a guest with them to enjoy a fun evening and everyone has the opportunity to win all or part of the grand prize of $10,000.
Holliston Lions Carnival
For more than five decades, the Holliston Lions Club has sponsored an annual carnival. The carnival denotes the "kick off" for each new Lions year. Typically, the carnival begins on Wednesday evening and ends on Saturday evening with a fireworks display.
During the carnival, you will see upwards of 20 - 30 Lions manning a food tent, selling ride tickets, cleaning up tables, and selling ride bracelets. This is the largest fundraising event of each year helping us support worthy causes.
Lions Super Bowl Squares
On an annual basis, we participate in a Super Bowl Squares fundraising event with Holliston Athletics Boosters Association (HABA). The proceeds of the event, after prizes are distributed are shared between the Holliston Lions Club and HABA.
The funds raised by the Holliston Lions Club from this event go to help us support local needs such as the Holliston Pantry Shelf, Holliston Rail Trail and to sponsor the Boy and Girl Scout troops among other activities.
Halloween Haunted Walk
This event has turned out to be wildly successful and each year goes through some changes. Lions are asked to participate by helping serve refreshments, manning a "scare station", dressing in costume to "scare" attendees and various other shenanigans. This event is held in conjuction with Holliston Community Farm.
There are two "sessions", an early viewing for those with young children and once it gets dark the real scares begin which are more suitable for teens and those with a high "scare" threshhold.
